Underbone Tuner was able to interview the Race Team Manager of Team MAC Mr. Arber Armobit.Team MAC a team that has been very consistent in the race and has always finished within the top 3. Mr. Armobit shares some info regarding the success of his team.

1.) UT: Can you give us a brief history about Team MAC? How did it begin? what activities are you known for? Where are you based?
Team MAC started with my self and Ramon Brignas our team mechanic, we built an experimental Crypton R engine about two years ago. After successfully building the engine, we saw the potential of our research. We came up with an endurance engine that may win any moped or underbone races, drag or circuit racing. After dozen of trails and research, we decided to make a racing team, then TEAM MAC was born. First activity we participated was the OZR First leg last march 30, 2008. second, was the Mandaue City Drag Race Mayors Cup, the last was the OZR 2nd leg last May 18, 2008. from day one, even if we didnt win in any races before. We earned good knowledge and result from our past activities. Right now were developing engines that can run in normal streets, drag race, and circuit at the same time. we call it “THE TEAM MAC RACING PERFORMANCE ENGINE” We frequently hang out at Norkis Lapu-lapu branch on week days.

2.) UT: Team MAC has been very consistent in the race and has always finished within the top 3, what is the secret to your success?
Thorough preparation, discipline, research, testing and a lot of hard practice.

3.) UT: Your riders Lyndon Requilme ( 2nd ), Elte Adel Sanchez ( 5th ) and Soreno Amsterdam (5th ) made a big splash on their first outing on the 2nd leg what preparations did your team make to create such an impact?
In the beginners category. Robbie Neil Enriquez trained all the riders of Team Mac to understand the racing line, and how to survive a circuit race for multiple laps and more hard practice .Which gives us good result for our riders for their very first attempt. My drag race rider Lyndon took 2nd place in his category after breath taking battle against the other team riders. Rider Elje took 5th place after starting way back on the grid.

4.) UT: Your Rider for the Novice Open Robbie Enriquez has made a formidable progress on the 2nd leg, from 5th place making a big leap to 3rd. What special preparations did you make? What things did you do differently this time around?
In the Novice open category. Our team mechanic did a good job with Robbie’s sniper that gave him the extra push he needed to get the 3rd place. With rider Amsterdam, he made a good result from his hard practice, even though he had multiple hard crash during practice, he drove our experimental drag high performance engine Crypton R to circuit race and took 5th place victory for the first attempt.

5.) UT: Does your team have plans of joining the expert open?
Yes! That’s the goal for my rider Robbie.

6.) UT: What are your plans for the 3rd leg? Can you share what aspects of your game plan you are going to adjust?
More practice, and we have push it much harder to the limit.

7.) UT: What advice can you give to aspiring teams who want to be successfull in cebu underbone circuit racing?
Discipline and more time in circuit and practice. And as a team manager provide a moral support and advice clean and safe racing style to all the riders participating.

8.) UT: If you can describe underbone tuning in one word what would it be?
Challenging

Thank you very much Mr. Arber Armobit for taking time with underbone tuner. We hope for your continued success in Cebu Underbone Circuit Racing Scene.More Power to Team MAC.
